Welcome!

So, you are thinking about becoming a vendor!

Thank you for your interest in our market. Our focus is on offering the highest quality local fruits, vegetables and products while providing a viable, supportive sales outlet for our vendors within a market culture that is friendly and welcoming.

Our vendors are very supportive of each other and cooperate to advance not only their own businesses but also the market as a whole. You will find that help is always there for the asking. We are a community dedicated to providing our patrons with fresh, healthy options and a better appreciation that “Buy Fresh, Buy Local” is more than a slogan—it’s better for everyone.

Producer-Only Market

The NAFM is a Producer-Only Market which requires that vendors sell only what they produce, grow or make. In addition to the many small farmers that offer their products at the market, the NAFM is also proud to feature local bakeries, specialty food vendors, producers of farm-based products and more! As the market grows in vendor membership and customer base, we expect to expand to be as much of a one-stop shopping for local food items as a market can offer.

NAFM By Laws prohibit the sale of arts or crafts or other merchandise not included on your application. No wholesale products or goods of any kind are permitted. Sale of live plants and Halloween pumpkins are also excluded.

North Atherton Farmers Market Season

Our market runs approximately 26 weeks from mid-May until mid-November (exact dates are determined at our Mid-Winter Members Meeting). Markets are held every Saturday, 10am-2pm. Vendors are expected to be in place, ready to go by 9:30am and must remain in place until the market closes at 2pm. All vendors have assigned 10’ X 10’ spaces.

The Legal Stuff

Membership Process

It all starts with filling out the application. If you can’t fill everything out or you have questions, we’re here to help. Once your application is received we review it with an eye on the quality of your offerings and how they fit with the needs of our marketplace. The Market Board makes recommendations to bring applications before the membership for a vote. We may have additional questions for you and you may invited to give a presentation to the members.

Applicants are first admitted as Guest Vendors that come to market on a rotational basis scheduled about once a month. The following year Provisional status is granted. After Provisional Status is completed a vendor becomes a permanent member. A vendor may choose to stay as part-time while being granted permanent status.
